Kim Soo-geun works on a wood lathe, carving logs by
attaching them to a rotating machine. After choosing
a piece of wood, he spends several days thinking deeply
about the shape that will go with the wood. He works while
imagining how the hardness of the wood, the grain,
and a specific pattern will change. He especially ponders
over how the wood will change over time under the
wind and sunlight, and develops his work.
