about the Artist

SOHN KYUNGHWA

Artist Son Kyung-hwa of the interior decor brand
"Teum(gap)" works primarily with ceramics.
The name "Teum" embodies the concept of "the space

they will intervene in the user's daily life and
potentially bring about some form of change

Interconnection

The tray’s handle, shaped like a vine, reflects the influence of the Art Nouveau
period—an era celebrated for the maximization of decorative elegance—while
maintaining practical functionality. The artist seeks to capture beauty in the
small fragments of everyday life, believing that such beauty can gently transform
one’s mood. With the motif of the grapevine, a symbol of prosperity, she hopes
to evoke a sense of new beauty and abundance.
